Custom Integrations With Downloads Modules

Well i read in the other posts that you do some custom programming on occassion depending on the project.. As i mentioned before I need a way to give access to some of files in my Download Section for premium members...

So I was wondering if you would be interested in developing me some custom features that described above and how much it would cost me...

This is my idea that i would need the current default Download Module in PHPNUKE 7.3 modified to handle the subscription based system..

Basically where you could add an extra field in the in the Downloads that would handle the Permission of each individual download. So say when you enter in the information for a Downloads you would select the permissions the same way you can pick for a module..

Who can Download This? and choose

All Users
Registered Users
Admin Users
Subscribed Users

This way all users would be able to view my download section and download all the stuff for Registered members for free but also see what access they would have to all the other files listed for the Subscribed Users

I dont think it would be that difficult to do but i am no programmer so you would need to let me know.. Also i think other people would be interested in this also... So if anyone is interested in this also make a post also if you have some ideas post them up..

Anyways let me know as I serious about paying you to develop this for me if you are interested as it seems to me a better solution than the nsn mods i was going to use.. plus bob has had some health issues and seems to be focusing all his attention to sentinel.. so any support on the nsn modules is very limited at this time which is understandle due to his conditions..

I see your point, and I am right now looking at ways to add the PayPal module to the members groups..... None of that is easy, the module works great for what it was intended to do, but as I further the devellopemnt, that is surely one of the things I will be looking at....

As always, I am alone, and I am busy..... I also have clients waiting for custom websites, so my time is TRULLY limited right now...

But as soon as I have some time, I will look into that... ;-p

yes, time is always the problem.. well this would be great if you could get some type of functionality like this to work in your module..

Well, that fact is, several buyers had bought the mdule, then asked me why it did not work..... Until now, I had no idea that CPGNuke was such a strange version of Nuke, and so as to guarantee my goof in not mentionning that my module did not work on CPG, I fealt that creating a version that DOES work was the least I could do.....

And of course it is a good distribution of Nuke, and the fact that people WANT The module to work helps matters too ! ;-p

what would ever be cooler would be a download module where each individual module could have Subscription Access... Laughing

well hope you have some free time to look into this as this is the missing piece that i need for my site..

great job on the mod by the way.

Not the prob, the site they attacked was a version 6.0-6.5-7.0 Hybrid, with tons of added and old and or custom etc... See the point...? They got me through an old Top List module......

I too recommend you the sentinel. I am using it on all my sites and no attacker has been able to get through untill now

Well, not really... What would be possible, while waiting for me (or someone else) to do that, would be the following :

One of our members, bplinson, has created a double of the download module. Here is his post :

With the future 4.0 version, you could place "silver" downloads in ONE module, and "Gold" downloads in the other module... By blocking the modules, you will be able to block the gold module module access to silver members, and gold members will able to access both modules....

Also i am just installing PHPNUKE 7.5 and see that the way the Admin and Module section has changed for better. Are you going to make a version of the PayPalNuke compatible with 7.5 or is the 4.0 going to be compatible??

I looked at the seperate Downloads module but it still poses the problem as i what the viewers to be able to see what Downloads They Would Get If They are Premium Members. The problem is like we brought before is they can view any of the downloads listed as they are Denied complete access to the module.. Sad

so it wouldnt work for me the way i really want!!
