I am sure exactly what you have done there...... The

Citation:

Is ONLY created two ways, you add it by hand, or a paid subscriber gets that value by paying.... Here is a copy of the readme from the module :

Citation:
PhpNuke Membership Mode
The PhpNuke Membership mode was designed for Webmasters to block access to certain Modules/Blocks, creating a special "Premium Members Only" status, which can remove advertising and/or access to subscribers only modules. The subscription system lets you set any block of the site to be invisible for subscribed users, any module can be configured to grant access to subscribed users only and the banners system will not show any advertising if the user is subscribed. The disadavantage of their system, is that YOU as webmaster have to input by hand each subscription...

The new AlloPayPal Nuke Members option included in the module, will do TWO things :
- The module adds the status of PhpNuke Member after each successful subscription through PayPal. It also REMOVES that status, in case of an annulation or an end of membership time !
- And it avoids "Cookie Squaters", that is people who remain on your site even though the membership is over, from accessing the "Premium Members Only" sections !

Don't panic, in order to use the system, it is VERY SIMPLE ! Under the option "Use PhpNuke Membership System" place the value "1" which means Yes.
Under the option "Subscription Days Value" you need to place the value in DAYS that you use in the values "Trial Period 1 and 2" and under "Subscription Period". That is the disadvantage..... You can charge different prices, but in order for the dates to work correctly, YOU HAVE to use the SAME values for each period ! For exemple :
Trial Period 1 = 1 month for 10 €uros
Trial Period 2 = 1 month for 8 €uros
Subscription Period = 1 month for 5 €uros
So, you would place the value of 30 for "Subscription Days Value". There are other combinations available, please refer to the Help File above, for more information. Just remember, the CORRECT functions of the script depend on the CORRECT values used !
NOTE : I have included another version of the index.php file, in the module Your_Account. The file "index_NukeMemberVariable.php" allows you to use other variable for the dates. And the member does not see how many days he has left in his subscription ! But, the script will work from high to low figures....
Lets say you have setup your script for following values :
Trial Period 1 = 1 week for 10 €uros
Trial Period 2 = 1 month for 8 €uros
Subscription Period = 1 year for 5 €uros
Then the value you would have to place in the "Subscription Days Value" would be 365, for one year. If you use the value 7, then the members month subscription will stop working after 7 days.... Get it ?
As the cookies are temporary, instead of for one month in the PhpNuke basic version, those who "Cookie Squate" your website would have to STAY connected.... Once they close their navigator, no more access !

Other Info

To configure a module for subscribed users only, just use the modules administration option as usual, you will see the new option in the "Who can view this" selection box.

For custom modules, and in case of errors with older modules, a new function called paid() needs to be installed, to check if the user is a premium member or not. If you want to block a module for subscribers only, you must use the following piece of code:

if (paid()) {
echo "You're a subscribed user...";
}

You can also check if a user isn't a subscriber using the code:

if (!paid()) {
echo "You are NOT a subscribed user...";
}

If you have any problems, please stop by my website and leave a message in our forum, PayPalNuke.Com
Or by mail, Maurice

Before I continue, does all that help ?

And this is the profile page of a user who went through the process without me doing anything.

You got me on that one...... There seems to be a conflict with the module, but WHY is the question....... Can you mail me some info, your site url and create me a member account, so I can pass by and see what I can.....

The ONLY reason that should happen is that the site is not Nuke 7.1 plus......

I think I found the answer....

Open the file include/sql_layer.php

At the line that is bugged, if there is a mention to :

mysql_fetch_row():

Just change it to :

@mysql_fetch_row():

Let me know if that does the trick !!

That does seem rather strange with conflicting messages. One saying you are a basic member, then You are subscribed with over 9 years of membership, then you are not subscribed - I assume this is all on the same page from the Your_Account viewing page?
Here is what I see for my own account on my own phpnuke site

Do we really need all that confirmation of subscription expiration twice?

Refer to my last post, we may have a very small NUKE bug?
When setting up my phpnuke site some years ago, the God admin account was given one username and when prompted to 'Create another normal account for this user' I did, with a different username.

When I view my account logged in as both a normal user and as Admin I see this

Hope this helps but I think it is a problem with nuke not your module.

After all that, I am lost.. But yes, the info is there for the users, and the admins, so you see it twice if you are a user admin at the same time...

Thank you Maurice for confirming that.
What would be the chances of you modifying that in a future release?
So instead of;
You're subscribed to our Newsletter
Points you have by participating on the site's content: 166427
Your User Status on Our Site is that of :
Completed - We have received your PayPal Payment
You are subscriber of Guild of Security (UK) Ltd
Your subscription will expire in:
267 days, 4 hours, 3 minutes, 16 seconds
Subscribed User!
Subscription Expire in:
267 days, 4 hours, 3 minutes, 16 seconds

We could see;
<username>, you're subscribed to our Newsletter
<username>, by participating on the site's content you have: 166427 points

<username> : Your User Status on Our Site is that of :
Completed - We have received your PayPal Payment

<username> You are subscriber of Guild of Security (UK) Ltd
<username> Your subscription will expires in:
267 days, 4 hours, 3 minutes, 16 seconds
<username> is a Subscribed User!
<username>, Your Subscription Expires in:
267 days, 4 hours, 3 minutes, 16 seconds

I think this would avoid any confusion over which account is being referred to when logged in as both a user and an Admin and might also help prevent users accidentally forgetting to renew their Admin Premier account.

GREAT IDEA ! The good news is, I am right now on that code, doing the versio 4.0 ! Which will include DUAL MEMBERSHIP MODES !

Huh ? Well easy, you can set your site up for Silver and Gold membership ! And block the modules so that silver access silver, and gold access silver AND gold !

I am very happy, it is working great, and should be online in a few days !

Hurry people, UPDATE YOUR WEBSITES !

I have just upgrade to nuke version 7.5
I was never going to upgrade again after version 7.1 but when I found a really good compare program called Beyond Compare AND with all the work you are doing for your version 4 - I just had to do it Smile

Looking forward to the new release.
Your version 3.0 works really well with nuke 7.5 - thanks!!!

I also try not to upgrade every version, the patches are good for that. BUT the version 7.5 does change so much, and as the new versions are for it... ;-p

OOPS ! I haven't even upgraded here yet ! LOL !
