Still having problems… ‘your account’

I think paypal is working properly now, (2 sales Laughing

).

However I was giving a demonstration yesterday and the client didn’t even yet the confirm email.

I tried on my machine and nothing!!

I haven’t touched the site for over a week, so I do not know how this issue occurred! Rolling Eyes

Hum... Well the god news is that if you have touched nothing, there should be no problems... PayPal is not perfect, their setup allows up to 72 hours of posting the info, in case of a problem......

Is it ok yet ? A few things to check :

- Did you gat an email from PayPal ?
- Is there a transaction listed in the database paypaldown_transactions ?

it is not paypal that is causing the issue, for some reason the phpnuke 'your account' new user - isn't sending the email to confirm the email.

As I say - I haven’t touched the site for over a week, so I do not know how this issue occurred! Rolling Eyes

- well the only thing I did do was that I upgraded the .htacess for GT, as I had a problem with the articles mod Confused

It is evident that people are trying to access, as there details are stored in the temp_users table Exclamation

Have you tried just reinstalling the Your_Account module included with the mod ? If I remember right, you had changed the module, you must have goofed something...... Right ?

It was working, I made sales, then it seemed to stop working.

I tried again today, to create an account but I do not seem to recive the confirmation email sent out after completing the new user registration Confused

The only changes as I installed (not during the past week) was that I made cosmetic changes in the language files. Also I had to put 1 line into mainfile.php for my Google Tap to work...

Just find it strange, that Monday and Tuesday last week I made sales and by the end of the week it had stopped working Rolling Eyes

did that, but same errors as before -

I tried a unistal and re-install - but it did not fix

I notice that as I installed it did say that this was for nuke7.5 (I am usuing either 7.3 or .4) Hovever, I did have this working just fine before Confused

what do I need to try next ???

that my server for some reasons was not sending out emails - however on using http://www.shepro.org/feedback.html I received the email straight away Confused

That could be the problem... Check your DB, if the users get a paypal email, if the Database paypal_transactions has been updated, than is may be the prob.....

an update....

finally the confirmation emails came through - about 6 hours late

when I confirmed email I notice that the nickname was blank.... so I just got Your account has been activated, with the Nickname :

following the link took me to paypal ok (I need to put the right details in though)

I also noticed that in the 'user info' block the 'new today/yesterday' are not been updated Confused

to recap it worked fine and I received payments mon/tues of last week, but on friday I was with a client and it was dead... I didn't touch anything Rolling Eyes

I really don't fancy wiping clean my site and restarting - but that looks like the way to go Twisted Evil

any suggestions Question

Well, PayPal must have had some problems, that does happen... Try this.

Go to the Admin Member Subscriptions, and change YOUR subscription value from subscribed to not subscribed. Check your mail, you should get an email..... If you don't, that may be yous server......

But don't remove anything yet, I am betting on some server load problems....

Just logged in to my 'Server Status' and noticed that 'crond' has a fail and red light on it Evil or Very Mad

I bet that this has been the problem for the past 5-6 days Rolling Eyes

will investigate this further

It must be the problem - as it did work (and very well Very Happy

) - then it stopped.

No prob man, I am just sorry I can't help you more than that.... There are so many things that can go bad with a server...I know, I have screwed mine up several times ! ;-p

For those who follow this thread, just understand one thing. The way the module works, it does or does not. If it stops at some time, it is either PayPal or YOUR fault ! ;-p
